There seems to be a precariously balanced yet perfect tension that animates his work, that between chaos and control. And that is precisely what we find in this 14 by 50 square meter work, one of the largest he has produced.
In his first post pandemic lockdown work, complexity is inspired by the connection between the word “courage” and the phrase “change through innovation”. And this is precisely the title of the work: ‘Courage and Change through innovation’.
A quick etymological search for the word courage reveals that it originates from the word heart, and more specifically from the ability to act by managing one’s emotions at times of turbulence.
Thus, courage becomes a state of mind, different from daring, in which we tame the instinctive impulses that a state of emotional discomfort creates in order to overcome it.
In this regard, the artist wanted to graphically use two well-known symbols found in the game of cards: hearts, the symbol of the same and of the characteristics attributed to it, and spades, a symbol that originates from the sword, which represents the challenge and the value in the difficulty in facing a given situation that needs to be overcome in order to evolve.
To represent these concepts graphically, he has devised a lettering whose architecture is based entirely on the modular development of the two symbols: the Hearts and the Spades.
In the center of the composition, a graphic element in the shape of a heart is crossed by a larger one in the shape of a spade, which comes to the fore, creating a sort of portal that is crossed to reformulate the future.
This work also uses the green line, a characteristic feature that runs along the entire perimeter of Prologis’ buildings, as a metaphor for the flow of life, which at a certain point, we can say at a crossroad encounters turbulence and bravely and innovatively overcomes it.

Born in Padua, the artist began his activity in the world of graffiti in the early 1990s. Alongside his work in the world of writing, he has pursued an artistic career linked to painting in the name of experimenting with materials and techniques, transposing the experience of writing onto more conventional media.
In his works, dreamlike atmospheres stimulate empathic aesthetic suggestions, with the result that observers immediately project themselves into the artist’s works. MADE514 has taken lettering to a level of complexity where the sinuous dynamism of the letters of his name takes flight and breaks down into a mix of oriental and psychedelic suggestions.
His works are characterized by soft shapes, sharp lines, emotional stains and very dynamic movements set against geometric patterns, in which the letters find space to merge with the figurative world.
