Welcome to the Prologis Park Romentino – an important and innovative logistics park here in Italy.

The park – wholly owned by Prologis – extends across a 110,000 square meter area and houses several companies working in the logistics realm.

Over the past decade, logistics parks have gone through an evolution. Today, hundreds of people work at them, and the areas were needing to meet even greater demands to satisfy the needs of staff and visitors at them than ever before. Here, at the Prologis Park Romentino, more than 400 people come to work each day.

This trend ushered in a new era of rethinking the logistics space and its diverse operations to accommodate those working or coming in on a daily basis, such as van drivers. Parks would need to put their best face forward and provide a nice, comfortable workplace filled with new kinds of services.

It’s within this context that Prologis adopted an internationally acclaimed philosophy, one that brought about the birth of PARKlife. Here in Romentino, you’ll find the next stage evolution of a similar park previously opened in Italy in the Lodi province, the Prologis Park Lodi Somaglia. Together, they represent an entirely new concept for industrial development that not only puts Prologis customers at its center, but our employees as well.

Our aim is to create a logistics park that serves as a hub for social engagement: A town square of sorts where employees can find a whole host of services that enrich their workday – from easily accessible public transportation to after-hours recreation to simple meetup spots.

Here, the concept of sustainable living takes on wider meaning to include providing more access to open spaces. Indeed, Prologis has made a concerted effort to give even greater attention to both its indoor and outdoor spaces and letting people make the most of their free time. Here, you’ll find picnic tables and outdoor seating, playing fields and ping pong tables alike, walking trails and bike paths and lots of shady areas – Essentially, an entire rethinking of green spaces where everyone who wants to can take advantage of all the area has to offer. The park boasts food trucks offering refreshments even at the onset of each working day. And, in keeping with a greener approach, solar-powered charging stations have been installed for cell phones.

Aesthetics play an important role here as well – Naturally, having a nice place to work is certainly more enjoyable. This is why Prologis has brought in six internationally acclaimed Italian urban artists who, using the buildings as their canvass, have breathed new life onto the walls through their outstanding original artworks conceived just for this park covering 800 square meters surface in total.

The street art exposition runs straight through the logistics park, right into the central square where visitors and employees can find meals and refreshments any time of day: It’s an open space designed for social interaction, where they’re surrounded by immense works of art. In fact, employees were central to the positioning of the Prologis Park Romentino – with works placed on the north-west facades where they’d be seen the most.

Serving as inspiration for the entire PARKlife project were a series of key themes:

CUSTOMER CENTRICITY  •  CHANGE THROUGH INNOVATION  •  CULTURE & TALENT  •  INTEGRITY  •  MENTORSHIP  •  PASSION  • COURAGE  • TEAMWORK  •  FUTURE CHANGE  •  COMMITMENT  •  NATURE,  • and SUSTAINABILITY.

Art Director and curator of this open-air gallery is Enrico “Hemo” Sironi, also one of the six urban artists behind the works you’ll discover today. With his immense experience with Urban Art, Sironi coordinated each of the artists of the PARKlife project, closely working with them so they could unleash their full potential for you to see here on these walls.

So, let’s go off to discover the amazing works by Peeta, Joys, Made 514, Etnik, Dado and Hemo himself, around this fantastic open-air art gallery.
